Back in 1998, Sunland Pacific was in full flight operating throughout the Pacific Rim, Australasia, and the Americas.  Boasting over 100 pilots and a seasoned staff from all corners of the world, Sunland Pacific was truly one of the most prolific "Flight Simulator Clubs" to take to the skies.  With flights utilizing everything from the Concorde to the Avro RJ-85, Sunland Pacific was an airline that offered something for everyone with ever-expanding routes and divisions including Sunland Pacific Continental with flights in the American Southwest.

Suddenly, without notice or warning, Sunland Pacific was closed by the owner.

Remembering the greatness that was, a former staff member has decided to relight the engines and bring back the Sunland Group to a status even bigger and better than it was before.

Our long-term goals include the opening of three divisions and a network of hubs to serve the Pacific, Americas, and the Atlantic regions.  Of course, we must start small before we can grow big.  Therefore, we have decided to begin with a single hub located in San Juan, Puerto Rico with service to the Caribbean region under the flag of Sunland America.

We plan to bring many innovative features to the drawing board including automated PIREP filing for IVAO pilots, a realistic airline structure which responds to the activities of the airline and its members, as well as "ownership" in the airline to its members with a democratic decision making system for major decisions.

As you can tell, we already have a solid framework in place for the airline, however, there are still many things to be finalized.  For this, the management is seeking input from the general public and interested pilots.

Below, you will find a survey regarding the airline.  Your time and honesty is appreciated in completing this survey to make it one of the best Virtual Airlines in the skies.  All responses will be anonymous.

Fleet

As with any virtual airline, the backbone of the operation is the fleet that is available to the pilots.  As witnessed with the never-ending "Boeing vs Airbus" debate, each person has their own preferences and tastes.

It is not our intention to influence people's preferences, however, before answering the next series of questions related to our fleet, we ask that you also take into consideration payware and freeware aircraft model availability, fleet commonality (saves training and maintenance costs), and overall fit for an airline operating within the Caribbean region.
